NetOne Cellular (Private) Limited seeks to recruit a highly motivated, outstanding and results oriented individual to fill the following position.

FINANCIAL AUDITOR

RESPONSIBILITY

‘The incumbent shall be responsible to the Internal Audit Manager.

KEY JOB PURPOSE

To plan, perform and supervise audit assignments in fulfilment of the approved Annual Audit plan.

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plans, executes and supervises assigned audit engagements or activities on financial and operational systems;
2. Supervises the extent of coverage of audit assignments by setting out the scope and specific objectives of assigned audits;
3. Plans the appropriate audit procedures and tests to evaluate the integrity and reliability of information streams;
4. Reviews and supervises field work to ensure complete coverage, accomplishment of set objectives and quality assurance;
5. Ensures on-site professional advice and guidance to line management and subordinates;
6. Prepares the interim and draft report for review by the Internal Audit Manager;
7. Identifies operational risks at the operational level and identifying and makes recommendation controls to mitigate against such risks;
8. Designs appropriate procedures and tests to evaluate corporate governance and ethical practices in the organization;
9. Planning and executing follow-up audits to ensure that corrective measures are taken on previously reported system weaknesses.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent;
• Professional qualification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an added advantage;
• Three to five years’ relevant experience.
• External Audit experience is an added advantage.
