The Company is seeking a versatile business strategist who reports to the Board of Directors to steer the Company to be the leading mass transporter of choice and preferred market-driven passenger transport in the region and provides strategic direction to national transportation system accounting

FINANCE DIRECTOR (GRADE E)

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Finance Director is responsible for the overall accounting and finance, components of the Company’s operations. S/he will ensure financial reporting is m accordance with sei standards. In this position, the FD is responsible for leading the establishment of protect policies, systems, and processes for all aspects of accounting and finance. The FD develops the financial plan/budget and monitoring and reporting systems that meet the Company’s requirements. S/he will implement fraud mitigation and detection practices to ensure resources are free from waste and abuse.

The incumbent will be responsible for:
– Develop a section business plan to advance the Company objectives to enable the Company commercial viability
– Evaluate performance of subordinates for compliance with established company polices and objectives.
– Direct the preparation and review of annual section business plan formulation and effective implementation of operational budget. In cases of emergencies, authorize emergency corrective actions and immediately report to the CEO.
– Run the affairs on a day to day basis including the management and supervision of all staff to ensure highest Ie veto of disdpiine and motivation at all staff levels.
– Represent the Company as appropriate in its relationships with customers, suppliers, competitors, Government agencies, professional societies and gatherings that promote business networking.
– Ensure the effective stewardship of the financial and non-finanaal resources, including the management, control and reporting on financial, material resourcesand facilities.
– Overseeing Matters Related to Subsidies and Franchise System management
Minimum Academic Qualifications and Experience (from accredited and reputable institutions)
– A Degree in Accounting
– A relevent professional qualification
– Masters will be an added advantage
– At least five years of experience in financial management.
