Field Officer x4

Duties Include:

Coordinating project activities with community members, leaders, partner organisation and relevant government agencies; Facilitating the Identification and registration of project beneficiaries at community level in accordance with set guidelines; Distributing food/ non-food commodities to beneficiaries and conducting training of community groups; Ensuring that all commodities and cash are managed and accounted for; Monitoring project implementation at community level; Preparing distribution summaries of activities and findings of project activities; Assisting the Team Leader with stakeholder coordination; Writing clear and concise reports; Assisting with data collection during surveys, assessments and other monitoring activities at field level.

REQUIREMENTS:

A Degree/Diploma in Social Sciences or related field; Minimum of 2 years in Community Development, with food aid programming an asset; Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment, with project stakeholders including local government officials, donor/partner staff, other NGO peers, and community members; Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to write good reports, clearly, and meet deadlines;
Advanced computer literacy in the MS Office packages, Internet and email; Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of local language is essential; Prior experience with working with SCOPE data management software; Must be prepared to work in rural areas and in a multi-cultural environment; Must be prepared to work with grassroots structures.
