Duties and Responsibilities
• Overseeing the daily operations of the electrical component of the municipal water & wastewater pumping systems and public lighting infrastructure.
• Diagnose malfunction systems, apparatus and components using testing equipment and correct anomalies.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and servicing of electro-mechanical equipment, council premises and public lighting infrastructure.
• Assist the Engineer, Fitters and Contractors in the design and construction of electro-mechanical infrastructure projects.
• Preparation of reports, budgets and work schedules for management and public information systems.
• Ability to work under pressure to deliver within tight deadlines
• Performing any other duties assigned to by the Engineer.
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering / Skilled Class 1 Artisan
• Minimum of five (5) years experience, preferably in Municipality relevant entities.
• Apprenticeship training background will be an added advantage.
• A clean class four (4) driver’s license will be an added advantage.
