Freda Rebecca Gold Mine has a vacancy for an Electrician who will be reporting to the Electrical Foreman in the Underground Engineering Department.
Duties and responsibility
- Switching and services of high voltage switchgear and equipment.
- Performing scheduled maintenance and statutory testing and inspections on substation equipment.
- Installing underground electrical reticulation.
- Installation and maintenance of crushers, conveyors, vibrating screens and overhead cranes.
- Installation and maintenance of ventilation fans, pumps, drill rigs and overhead lines.
- Attending to breakdowns.

Apprenticeship training is an added advantage At least 3 years experience in heavy mining industry. High Voltage 33KV Switching certificate. HT cable jointing and termination certificate Experience with Sandvik DD210 drilling rigs. Experience with PLCs, VSDs and soft-starters. Should have sound knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
