The Public Service Commission is inviting applications to fill the following vacant posts in the Office of the President and Cabinet:-

POST F: DIRECTOR, ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS

REPORTS TO: CHIEF DIRECTOR

DEPARTMENT: E-GVT TECHNOLOGY UNIT

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee the creation, optimisation and future development of the Government
Enterprise Architecture and its sub-systems.
2. Coordinate the incorporation of all Government Systems into the National Data Centre

3. Identify, plan and supervise activities for creating multiple, large-scale data centre facilities projects for Government.
4. Make projections on e-Government Enterprise Infrastructure at least three years into the future.
5. Manage the development of data centre standards for Government.
6. Coordinate and supervise the development of Government-wide data centre infrastructure implementation plans.
7. Develop policies and procedures related to maintenance and operation of the data centre critical environment, equipment and space.
8. Supervise all data centre planning, resource management and optimization (space, power and cooling)
9. Plan the development, and implementation of Government’s disaster recovery plans and facilities to ensure business continuity for all Government Departments.
10. Develop policies and plans for the securing of data communications across the whole of Government.
11. Develop the e-Government network security policies and plans including cryptographic tools, methods and systems. This includes firewalls, authorization and authentication, and remote access.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• A degree in any of the following areas:-
• Computer Engineering;
• Network Engineering;
• Computer Science;
• Business Management and Information Technology or
• Information Systems.
• A higher degree in the above mentioned fields would be an added advantage.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience at Deputy Director Level or equivalent grade in the Public Service.
• At least two ICT professional certifications from the list of Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Professional (MSCP), Cisco
• Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), etc
• 8+ years relevant ICT experience at least 3 of them leading large infrastructure support, critical data centre and network operations programs.
• Deep expertise in Virtualisation, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, WAN, LAN & wireless technologies including topology, architecture, and protocols.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills,
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Team oriented.
• Strong people skills.
