Youth Forum Zimbabwe is inviting suitably qualified, experienced, passionate, and hardworking individuals to apply for the above-mentioned position. The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed term contract of 12 months. Continuity of employment will be based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.

Desired qualifications

Master’s degree in political science, public administration, international relations, organizational development, or in relevant fields or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 10 years’ of relevant experience; Substantial knowledge of youth organizational development strategies, including strong successful experience in organizational development approaches; Substantial experience advancing youth development in politically sensitive environments; Demonstrated leadership and management skills related to activity management, including activity planning and performance management, motivating and supervising team efforts, and financial and personnel management; Demonstrated effectiveness in developing and maintaining professional relationships with the government, civil society, and other stakeholders; Advanced language ability in both written and spoken English.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate should have: At least a Master’s degree in social sciences or Political Science or related disciplines; A Minimum of 10 years’ experience in governance or governance programming in an NGO with knowledge and understanding of financial and budgetary planning and control, rules and regulations; Demonstrated experience and ability to produce high quality reports; Experience working with stakeholders that include government ministries, donor representatives and NGO; The ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and meet deadlines; A clean class 4 driver’s license; Proficiency in Microsoft Office operations and packages.
