MAZOWE RDC – SAMANO EXPLORATION AND MINING COMPANY (PRIVATE) LIMITED is seeking qualified personnel for the following vacancies:

• DIAMOND DRILLING MACHINE ASSISTANT

Experienced Diamond Drilling Assistant is required to offer the necessary support to the Diamond Drilling operator in operating the rig, preparing drilling accessories, core handling and monitoring equipment at all times. Incumbent must have at least 6 years’ experience in diamond drilling operations.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Assist the Driller as instructed in all instances.
• Make sure all duties delegated by Driller for crewmembers are carried out safely and quickly as possible.
• Assist with taking stock of the list of preparatory activities provided by the Diamond Drilling Machine Operator.
• Making sure all drilling rods, drill bits, couplings, greases, oils and accessories are in place for convenient use and application in the drilling operations.
• Assist the Driller with lowering, rising, coupling, casings and harvesting the core from the rods for safe storage in core trays
• Constant checking of rig and equipment to make sure it is in good running condition and if any doubts, report it to direct supervisor.
• Practice safe work habits and set an example for crewmembers.
• Ensure understanding of. and compliance with Standard Task Procedures.
