DESIGNATED AGENT – NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT COUNCIL FOR THE MINING INDUSTRY
Applications are invited for the post of Designated Agent, to assist Council in the administration of its agreements in terms of the Labour Act. The successful applicant will be required to successfully complete three months fixed time probationary period before confirmation of permanent employment and he will be approved by the Registrar of Labour and Social Services.
Requirements
• Candidates should be between the ages of 25 and 40 years.
• Have a minimum of first degree in Social Sciences or related field.
• Have the ability to communicate with both employers and employees at all levels.
• Be conversant with Job Evaluation methods and techniques.
• Have at least two years’ experience in an Industrial Relations environment, and as Labour Officer or Designated Agent.
• Have Conciliation & Arbitration Experience.
• Be physically and mentally fit.
• Be in possession of a valid class 4 drivers’ licence.
• Be fluent in major Zimbabwean languages.
• Be prepared to travel extensively throughout Zimbabwe.
• It would be an added advantage for applicants to have some knowledge of the Mining Environment.
• Arbitration qualification and experience will be a requisite for this job.
