Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounts receivable function, including invoicing, receipting and allocation of payments.
  • Perform regular customer account reconciliations and resolve any outstanding queries.
  • Monitor and control customer credit limits and payment terms in line with company policy.
  • Identify and escalate high-risk, overdue or delinquent accounts for follow-up action.
  • Prepare and distribute customer statements and age analysis reports.
  • Follow up on outstanding debts via phone, email and written correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date debtor records and filing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with the sales team to resolve billing disputes and account discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years experience in a debtors, accounts receivable or credit control role.
  • Ability to prepare, interpret and present financial reports aligned to business operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A clean Class 4 driver’s licence is an added advantage.
