Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts receivable function, including invoicing, receipting and allocation of payments.
- Perform regular customer account reconciliations and resolve any outstanding queries.
- Monitor and control customer credit limits and payment terms in line with company policy.
- Identify and escalate high-risk, overdue or delinquent accounts for follow-up action.
- Prepare and distribute customer statements and age analysis reports.
- Follow up on outstanding debts via phone, email and written correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date debtor records and filing systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting requirements.
- Liaise with the sales team to resolve billing disputes and account discrepancies.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
- At least 2 years experience in a debtors, accounts receivable or credit control role.
- Ability to prepare, interpret and present financial reports aligned to business operations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A clean Class 4 driver’s licence is an added advantage.
