The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for data entry into the Community Art Refill Group (CARG) data base, District Health Information Sytems (DHIS) and other duties assigned by the Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant (MEA) for the HIV records. The Clerk will work with the Zimbabwe HIV Care and Treatment (ZHCT) project and Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) staff to collect and compile data for the periodic patient care reviews into our data bases.
Duties and Responsibilities
Enter CARG patient level data completely, accurately and timely daily as assigned by the supervisor; Undertake double data entry of CARG paper-based data as per set standards; Validate data entered for any gaps observed during double data entry; In collaboration with the MEA prepare a report and submit to the project team; Maintain an updated CARG database system.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Ability to work with others and ability to develop and maintain compatibility with other project staff, subcontractors’ and recipients of assistance; Proficient computer skills for data collection and word processing software; Attitude for learning and enhancing skills; Ability to troubleshot problems in collecting and entering data; Upholds patient confidentiality; Willing to travel to multiple clinic sites; Willing to work flexible hours.
Qualifications and requirements
Minimum of a diploma in any related field; Knowledge in using computer programs is a requirement; Prior experience in a similar role is an added advantage; Good reading and writing skills is a must; Demonstrated success in multicultural environments.
