Consultancy on Maternal Neonatal and Child Health Care Context Analysis in Manicaland (Buhera and Chipinge): GOAL

Background
GOAL has been contributing to health and nutrition through providing high impact critical nutrition interventions for children under five years with a focus on wasting and stunting reduction. GOAL has also contributed to economic and food security through implementing projects centered on self-reliance and livelihoods for people of concern, women empowerment, building resilience for vulnerable communities and promoting crop and livestock value chains.

GOAL Zimbabwe seeks to hire an experienced consultant to conduct contextual analysis on maternal, neonatal and child health system in Manicaland (Buhera and Chipinge).

Purpose of the consultancy
The purpose of the consultancy is to undertake a detailed assessment of Maternal, Neonatal and Child health care in Manicaland (Buhera and Chipinge) to identify the constraints and opportunities along the Maternal, Neonatal and Child health care system and to identify the key players along the value chain and their interconnectivity. The assessment will also include an assessment of the shocks and stresses on the community and maternal, neonatal and child and child health system. A gender and age assessment to identify those excluded and an analysis of the relationships / behaviours of key players in the system, to analyze the system and develop a potential portfolio of interventions based on the opportunities for GOAL to engage and create change.

The consultants will work closely with the GOAL Zimbabwe country team and GOAL’s local management and Global Technical Team (Global Health, SBC & Policy Advisor), to undertake the value chain research and analysis.

Timeline
It is anticipated that this assignment will commence on 20th August 2018 ending on 30th September 2018. Interested consultants should collect detailed Terms of Reference (TORs) from GOAL Zimbabwe at Number 73 Harare Drive, Mt Pleasant, Harare.
