VACANCY NOTICE
REPORTING TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Job responsibilities:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for:
o Ensuring Licensees and Operators comply with legislation namely the Lotteries and Gaming act [Chapter 10:26] as well as regulations, in particular Section 58 of the act or its successor and the Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act [Chapter9:24].
o Undertaking and managing regulatory inspections.
o Assessment of returns submitted by operators.
o Inspecting the premises, equipment and all means used for the purposes of conducting lotteries and gaming business to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
o Assisting the operators with the correct interpretation of the provisions of the operating licence(s).
o Liaison with law enforcement agents, Financial Intelligence Unit and other stakeholders on instructions from the Secretary.
o Development of oversight on policies and regulatory standards.
o Compiling reports of all examinations and inspections conducted within two Pdays of the examination or inspection.
o Identifying, preventing, monitoring, and resolving compliance risks and issues.
o Developing, reviewing, and updating company policies and procedures.
o Implementing and managing effective legal compliance programs.© Advising management and stakeholders on compliance mattersand best practices.
o Upholding compliance program standards and supporting management and executives by providing legal, policy and compliance advice.
o Maintaining critical data related to regulatory compliance.
o Ensuring the board complies with regulations and policies.
Job Requirements
o A Degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Law or equivalent.
o A post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
o More than 5 years in managerial position, computer knowledge and experience in Risk.
o Appreciation of the gaming industry.
o Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism.
o Acleanclass4 driver’s licence.
o Salary scale will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates only.
