CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose: Providing technical support and expertise… under the Universal Services Fund.

Duties: Plans and conducts field surveys; Develops plans and cost estimates; Analyses site factors; Inspects project sites and evaluates contractors; Drafts detailed drawings; Supervises projects to completion; Reviews blueprints; Ensures budget compliance; Maintains records; Prepares reports; Estimates bill of quantities; Assesses claims for payment.

Qualifications: Diploma in Civil Engineering (BEng added advantage). At least 3 years’ experience in Telecommunication infrastructure/construction. Clean Class 4 driver’s licence a must.
