VACANCY
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the day to day management, coordination and implementation of refuse collection schedules across the City through effective deployment and utilization of human, equipment and material resources for better sanitation and public health outcomes
KEY RESULT AREAS
* Planning weekly and monthly deployments in liaison with Cleansing Superintendents.
* Selecting and deploying labour, tools and equipment as per need to achieve optimum performance levels.
* Maintaining an inventory of the Division’s assets and initiates tools, plant and equipment repairs in liaison with the Technical Services Engineer.
* Monitoring and controlling the quality of services rendered and taking corrective measures where necessary.
* Monitoring and controlling labour, plant, equipment and vehicle fuel usage to ensure optimum economy and productivity.
* Managing relevant internal stakeholder relationships to promote smooth flow of operations.
* Supervising subordinates and identifying employee training requirements.
* Ensuring that employees adhere to proper safety and health procedures.
* Monitoring and evaluating service delivery and revenue performance and make recommendations on improvements to the Head Amenities.
* Advising management on modern refuse collection and disposal methods and processes.
* Compiling periodic reports to the Head Amenities on divisional operations as and when necessary.
* Attending to enquiries from residents and other stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Degree in Environmental Health/relevant Engineering Discipline/ Public Administration/ Public Health or equivalent.
* Post Graduate degree in Management or equivalent is an added advantage.
* Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence a must.
* At least 5 years’ experience at supervisory level
