1.1 MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEACHING LABORATORY UNIT
CHIEF MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST – (1 POST)
Duties And Responsibilities
Duties
Planning, supervising and coordinating students’ practicals.
Developing and maintaining the Unit’s Health and Safety procedures
Maintenance of Unit furniture and equipment, including carrying out inventory and coordinating repairs.
Purchasing the Unit’s equipment, reagents and consumables.
Supervising Junior Staff.
Assisting the research Works carried out in the Faculty.
Qualifications And Experience
Applicants should have:
A Master of Science Degree in any discipline of Medical laboratory Sciences and a Foundation Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.
At least three (3) years post qualification experience.
Good leadership and managerial qualities and be highly motivated.
Registered with the Medical Laboratory and Clinical Scientists Council of Zimbabwe.
