JF Kapnek Trust is a registered charitable trust, which has been operating in Zimbabwe since 1986. JF Kapnek Trust seeks to improve family health, reduce child mortality and create educational opportunities for children of Zimbabwe through the implementation of scalable sustainable programmes.

The JF Kapnek Trust is recruiting 3 Case Management Graduate Interns based in Harare and Bulawayo. Kapnek prides itself in providing mentorship opportunities for upcoming Social Workers in a broad range of fields including Disability and Case management, Parenting, Sexual and Reproductive health and Rights, Community development, Education among others. Under the supervision of qualified and experienced Social Workers in a vibrant Child Protection team the Graduate Interns will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities
Support the rollout of case management services to beneficiaries using the National case management framework; Collaborate with key government departments in key case management processes including case intake and case follow ups; Collaborate with key government departments in documenting and recording key case management services; Provide ongoing support to beneficiaries through linking them to key services including parenting and education; Participate in community outreach activities including child protection awareness raising; Complying with internal reporting requirements including weekly and monthly reports; Supporting broader organisational activities in child protection, disability and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Person Specifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from a reputable institution; One year experience in Child Protection (recent graduates will be considered); Good Command of spoken and written English; Proficiency in both spoken and written local language is a distinct advantage; Previous experience working in the National Case Management System is an advantage; Demonstrated independence while staying grounded in a team; Demonstrated coordination and networking skills; Strong networking and advocacy skills; Demonstrated child protection analytical skills and willingness to learn and develop in child protection; Good command of Microsoft Word and Excel
