Key Responsibilities

  • Keeping the card operations flowing: Manage inventory, card activations, settlements, and chargebacks.
  • Being the fixer: Troubleshoot technical errors, declined transactions, fraud alerts, and other operational issues.
  • Customer hero mode: Resolve complex customer cases and create an FAQ guide to help the front-line team handle common issues.
  • Keeping it compliant: Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, and Zimbabwe’s financial regulations.
  • Liaising with the squad: Act as the main point of contact between banking partners, the technology team, and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, IT, Economics, Business, or a related field).
  • At least 2 years’ hands-on experience in card operations, payments, or fintech, with a solid understanding of the transaction lifecycle (authorization, clearing, settlement, etc.).
  • Customer support experience in financial services is non-negotiable.
  • Good understanding of Zimbabwe’s financial services landscape.
  • Experience working with card management platforms or payment gateways is an added advantage.
  • Problem-solver: Calm under pressure and able to adapt quickly.
  • People-first: Strong empathy and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communicator: Fluent English is essential. Ability to speak Shona or Ndebele is a strong advantage.
