Bar Cashiers / Bartender 660 views

Devine Assignments a fast growing organisation which is into arts and entertainment is looking to fill the vacancy that has risen for the position of bar cashiers. This position will be based in Harare.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage transactions with customers.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
• Collect payments.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Redeem stamps and coupons
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the bar
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Follow all procedures and policies as outlined by the company.
• Maintain a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts at the scheduled time
• Perform assigned side work duties satisfactorily.
• Work at assigned section.
• Follow all end of shift procedures as outlined by the company.
• Maintain good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side work when there is a need.
• Participate in bar promotions and events

 Skills & Qualifications:

• Physically fit
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in clubs or bars
• Knowledge of liquor.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like swiping machines.
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
• Attention to detail.

• Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
• Flexible to work during nights, weekends and holidays.
