AUDITOR

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above pose and will be reporting to the Town Clerk.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Degree from a recognized University in Auditing. Finance or Accounting. A full CIS or CIA or CIMA is also acceptable.
• At least three years post qualification experience in middle management accounting or auditing position. Local government experience is an added advantage. At least 30 years old and mature. A citizen of Zimbabwe.
• No criminal record. A clean record of service within the local government fraternity where applicable.
• A clean class 4 driver’s licence.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the internal audit function.
• Check on compliance of systems.
• Review systems established to ensure compliance with plans policies proceedings, law and regulations.
• Review means of safe guarding assets Review operation of programmes to ascertain whether results are consistent with established goals and objectives.
• Putting in place internal systems and controls.
• Carrying out internal auditing duties.
