The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, a Parastatal within the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry,
invites applications from interested candidates who wish to be considered for the following positions:
AUDIT EXECUTIVES X3
Reporting Structure
The incumbent reports to the Head – Internal Audit

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Establishing risk-based audit programs
2. Ensuring that audits are carried out in line with the Annual Audit Planning Memorandum.
3. Undertake audit tours and audit inspections of all business activities.
4. Evaluate internal controls, procedures, and processes
5. Determine compliance with policies and procedures.
6. Evaluation of risk management and Governance processes.
7. Perform due diligent audits on all procurements.
8. Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document processes.
9. Performs follow-up on management action items and conducts related follow-up audits.
10. Conduct special investigations audits as assigned by the Head of Internal Audit

Person Specification (knowledge, skills & abilities)

1. Knowledge of Audit standards. Accounting Standards and Relevant Statutes. Internal Policies and Procedures
2. Sound independent judgment
3. Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
5. Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.

Qualifications

1. A degree in Auditing. Accounting, Risk Management, and equivalent
2. A master’s degree in Auditing. Accounting, Risk Management, and equivalent is an added advantages.
3. Relevant professional affiliation and certification.
Minimum of three years experience in Internal Auditing.
