Art directors ensure that their clients’ desired message and image are conveyed to consumers. In addition, art directors are responsible for the overall visual aspects of an advertising or media campaign and coordinate the work of other artistic or design staff, such as graphic designers.

Duties And Responsibilities

Receive and check if all the information they require to execute a successful project is on the Creative Brief.
Work together with the copywriter to develop a creative concept that answers every aspect of the creative brief.
If need be, the Art Director should Identify and request any additional resources within the project budget that might be needed to achieve success.
Execute a high standard of creative executions which are unique and different within set internal deadlines and scope.
Inspiring and motivating the agency’s clients to buy into delivered work through providing each ‘big job’ with a detailed rationale.
Execute any changes from the creative director or client swiftly.
Save artwork and all creative deliverables in the correct formats for flighting or production – in a way that the creative maintains its quality, legibility and approved state.
Uncovering new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns.
Coordinate, nurture and direct graphic designers and graphic design interns.
Responsible for offering creative direction to third-party vendors such as photographers, videographers, 3D artists, voice-over artists etc., in line with each project concept note.
Understand each brand’s identity, tone of voice and the clients’ general visual and creative preferences.

Qualifications And Experience
