Suitably qualified, experienced and motivated candidates are invited to apply for the position of AI & ML Specialist which has arisen in Technology Services Department.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Technology Innovations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among others:

• Monitoring the banks existing AI projects.
• Implementing improvements, modifications and optimizations in line with the banks strategic objectives.
• Evaluating new technologies, techniques, vendor partners, and introducing best practices to solve optimization/prescriptive business problems.
• Generating innovations to solve business needs and technical challenges using AI & ML.
• Conducting logical analyses of business and other technical problems and formulating mathematical models of problems for solution by computers.
• Designing and developing machine learning algorithms.
• Preparing and analysing historical data and identifying patterns.
• Participating in team design meetings, daily scrum meetings, and other development meetings.
• Ensuring Systems and Applications are in compliance with regulatory bodies such as RBZ, PCI, ZimSwitch

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience and detailed knowledge with AI & ML Tools.
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience with TensorFlow is an advantage
• Detailed knowledge of NLP Frameworks (Dialogflow, Watson, Lex, Wit etc)
• Problem Resolving and analytical skills.
• 3 to 4 years of professional experience in programming, particularly in enterprise application development.

Educational Qualifications

• First Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Informatics.
• At least 2 AI/ ML related Certifications.
