JOB DESCRIPTION
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
⦁ Smooth administration of Committee work, maintaining efficient records management system for Council and the general administration of the Committee Section
⦁ Prepare agendas, minutes, and schedules of meetings for main Council and Committees
⦁ Capturing of minutes of main Council meetings and distributes the minutes according to agreed protocol
⦁ Keeps records of minutes and other relevant reports
⦁ Prepares and ensures updates of Council Standing Orders and Code of Ethics for Councillors
⦁ Updates the Council Resolution report
⦁ Ensure availability of relevant Acts during main Council and Committee meetings
⦁ Prepares the Chamber for the meetings
⦁ Any other duties as assigned by the Legal Officer
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
⦁ Social Science, Communication or Public Administration Degree or equivalent
⦁ A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in minute taking and general office administration
⦁ Knowledge of governance systems and processes
⦁ Experience in preparation and distribution of agendas and minutes of meetings
⦁ Good communication skills
⦁ Computer literacy
⦁ Ability to work underpressure
⦁ Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality
