Due Date: Thursday, February 28, 2019Reporting to: Assistant Accountant

Overall responsibility

Supporting the Assistant Accountant to maintain accounting records in compliance with OPHID policies and procedures and other applicable rules and regulations. In addition, he/she assists with the management and safeguarding of the organisation’s financial resources.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Maintaining files of accounting records
• Provide administrative and financial services to be able to ensure that payments and receipts are accurately issued and recorded.
• Following up on the liquidation of program advances.
• Assist in report preparation as required.
• Participate in special projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in a similar positionSkills required
• Organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• High level of numeracy and ability to pay attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good computer skills in Excel and Pastel
