Key Responsibilities
- Load and process approved payments on various banking platforms.
- Prepare, submit and follow up exchange control applications and foreign payment documents.
- Maintain registers of foreign payments, import documents and acquittals.
- Prepare daily bank balance and cash position reports.
- Reconcile local and foreign currency bank accounts.
- Manage petty cash, including issuing, recording, reconciling and replenishing funds.
- Maintain banking records, signatory lists, user access records and bank mandates.
- Assist with treasury reporting, cash-flow forecasts and currency exposure schedules.
- Act as the day-to-day link with the company’s bankers.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist with improving treasury procedures and controls.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly treasury and cash reports.
- Follow company policies, internal controls, SHE rules and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent qualification.
- Studying towards ICAZ, ACCA, CIMA or a similar professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting, with practical exposure to treasury, banking or cash management.
- Experience in mining, construction or a large project environment is an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of Zimbabwe exchange control requirements.
- Experience using online banking platforms and handling multi-currency accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a recognised accounting or ERP system.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with banks and external parties.
