Key Responsibilities

  • Record all transactions, maintain ledgers, fixed assets register
  • Do monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
  • By 10th: PAYE, Withholding Tax returns & payments
  • By 14th: NSSA contributions
  • By 25th: VAT returns & payments if VAT registered
  • Quarterly: QPD provisional tax payments
  • Annually: Income tax returns ITF12C/ITF12B, annual financial statements
  • AIDS Levy: Paid with PAYE
  • Process salaries, generate payslips
  • Calculate and remit PAYE, NSSA, AIDS Levy deductions
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analysis
  • Provide cost analysis and financial data for decisions
  • Maintain supporting documents and internal controls
  • Liaise with auditors, implement audit findings
  • Ensure compliance with Labour Act and Companies Act
  • Monitor cash flow, manage debtors and creditors
  • Handle banking and loan compliance
  • Advise on financial impact of business decisions
  • Assist with tenders, grants, investor reports
