Red Cross Zimbabwe (commonly referenced as redcrosszim) is the officially recognized National Society of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in Zimbabwe. It operates nationwide — from Harare and Bulawayo to rural districts like Chiredzi and Mutare — delivering emergency relief, first aid training, water and sanitation programmes, and support for vulnerable communities. Registered under Zimbabwean law and accredited by the Zimbabwe Government and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), it maintains its own governance, staff, and volunteer network within the country. Its operations are locally led and adapted to Zimbabwe’s specific humanitarian needs, including drought response, cholera outbreak mitigation, and HIV/AIDS support.
