Nkayi Rural District Council

Nkayi Rural District Council is one of Zimbabwe’s sixty rural district councils, situated in the north‑eastern part of Matabeleland North Province. As a local authority, it is responsible for the administration and delivery of basic services to residents of the Nkayi District. These services include maintenance of rural roads, provision of water and sanitation facilities, and support for primary education and health initiatives. The council also oversees local development projects aimed at improving livelihoods and infrastructure within its jurisdiction. Through these functions, Nkayi Rural District Council contributes to the socio‑economic development of Matabeleland North.
