Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions that have arisen within the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) – an equal opportunity employer.
Duration : 5 Months Contract
Grade : C2
Station: Head Office
Reporting to the Revenue Accountant, the job holder will be responsible for providing financial and administrative clerical duties to ensure that the agency’s financial transactions are captured in an accurate and timely manner.
DUTIES
Receipts Cash, POS, Ecocash and RTGS transactions
Files Financial documents
Maintains draw down accounts
Carries out the banking and captures the data in SAP.
Captures revenue data, incoming payments (RTGS, Ecocash) and cash journals in SAP
Creates invoices for both sales orders and tickets
Updates financial registers manually
Creates monthly VAT Schedules
Manages Agency trade receivables
Compiles and updates clients database
Coordinates and consolidated weekly debt recovery update reports
Compiles weekly debt recovery update reports.
Compiles weekly revenue statistics by category (h/s, w/e, SW).
Creates and updates debtors accounts and reconciliations
Issues demand letters and reminders to clients for the settlement of their accounts.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in Accounting
CIS Certification or related certification is an added advantage
At least 1 year experience in a similar position.
