Job Summary
Reports To: Human Resources and Administration Officer Grade 10
Duties And Responsibilities
• Ensures that the Code of conduct is administered fairly and consistently (disciplinary and grievance handling procedures
• Assists in the communication of policies and general employee-related information
• Ensures and facilitates training and development of employees and councilors
• Provides Human Resources advisory services to the departments
• Updates employee records
• Asset management
• Administering the payroll
• Ensures that secretarial services to the council and committee meetings is provided as required
• Ensures that all committee and council meetings records are kept and maintained
• Stores management
• Preparation and submission of monthly staff returns
Qualifications And Experience
• A degree in Administration, Human Resources Management or other relevant qualification from a recognizable University
• Clean class 4 driver’s licence is an added advantage
• Good computer skills
• At least 2 years of working experience in a local government or public sector environment
