Faculty Of Social Sciences (FSS) Department of Peace and Security Studies
Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, prepare and develop courses, modules and teaching materials.
- Deliver lectures and tutorials.
- Develop and implement new methods of teaching to reflect changes in research.
- Assess students’ coursework.
- Set, mark and moderate examinations and assessments.
- Supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate, taught graduate (Masters) or research graduate (MPhil/PhD) students.
- Carry out research and publish research articles or produce other research outputs in line with personal objectives agreed in the Staff review process.
- Participate and speak at workshops and seminars.
- Attend staff meetings and prepare meeting minutes when required.
- Any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Experience
- Should possess a BSc in Public Health/BSc Pol Sci/BA Def and Secy Studies, MSc in Public Health, PhD in Public Heath, Epidemiology or any other related field.
- Experience as university lecturer is an added advantage.
