Business Performance Manager
Job Purpose
- To use analytic processes to monitor Bank performance against the key business drivers to effectively manage financial and non-financial objectives and measures to ensure that growth is achieved.
- To provide a comprehensive budgeting and planning, product and services costing and management accounts analysis, so that the Bank achieves on its vision and mission, and to act as directed by Head Finance
Job Responsibilities
- Using customer feedback to ascertain how we should adjust to meet the changing landscape across the bank, by providing workable solutions to improve business performance
- Take a holistic approach in managing bank performance of key business drivers across the bank
- Identify problems or weaknesses in the efficiency of business operations and advise ways to improve them.
- Analyze and drive insights to help the business perform better. E.g., NIR new revenue opportunity, operational metric to drive competitiveness
- Monitor strategic initiatives and provide guidance and advisory to the business where there are gaps.
- Ensure high quality, efficient and effective delivery of Business Intelligence, from different
- sources to provide a consolidated and integrated view of the business in new ways.
- Assess past performance against current business practices, research potential solutions for lowering costs and increasing market share.
- Prepare yearly, biannual and quarterly budgets
- Prepare monthly commentary on performance against budget
- Control divisional costs through income and expenses variance analysis
- Prepare product profitability reports
- Prepare quarterly board reports
- Prepare and review monthly branch accounts and performance tracking
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to provide guidance in various spheres of business, including corporate strategy, business transformation, digital and innovation capabilities.
- Oversee market sizing to determine profitability of both market and banking products and provide insight to the business on how these impacts our strategic choices.
- Carry out an internal analysis of ‘strategic assets and business data to identify and determine opportunities or threats.
- Study comparative analysis of competitors insights to understand key areas of differentiation and gaps to close.
- Manage scenario planning analysis on the impact of different strategic projects and the possible impact expected.
Minimum Experience Level
- At least 3-5 years working in a management performance environment.
- Advanced computer skills required for Windows Office programmed including Word, Excel, PowerPoint in addition Outlook and web-based applications.
- Financial management and KPI reporting experience
Essential Qualifications – NQF Level
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
Preferred Qualification
- Qualified CA,
- Completed CIMA/completed ACCA.
- Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
