BACKGROUND
The Diocese of Chinhoyi is looking for the Services of a consultant with capabilities to understand what changes are needed to be made to keep up the pace tackling the issues posing the greatest threat to the success of the change programme, including how to adapt to rapidly shifting needs, deal with the emotional and ethical issues that arise and ensure that the commissions take full ownership for the change within the competition and succeed in changing management’s perspective on organisational and strategic development.
The Curia mechanism provides a platform, where the Heads of Commissions share best practices and improve the formulation, adoption and implementation of their Programs, governance policies in conformity with established standards and principles
Duties And Responsibilities
DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The ODPM consultant will conduct research and analyze data in relation to the revision of the existing Strategic Plan, Curia structure to attain Organisational Structure and Design goals as per the mandate received from Diocesan Board and agreed strategic plan.
The Job will also include identifying organisational and Institutional Capacity gaps and organize to strengthen the new structure that will deliver on the Diocesan mandate.
Qualifications And Experience
REQUIREMENTS
The Organisational Development and Program Management consultant must be able to design a major change in the design of the new Diocesan capacity gaps to deliver in the new business model, systems, processes, ways of working to improve efficiency, and to make progress towards becoming a high performing organisation.
Qualifications and Years of Experience
The Consultant is expected to have obtained a Master’s degree Or Post graduate Qualification in Project Management, Social Sciences, or and Human Resources or related field plus 10 years of experience in the related field of Humanitarian Assistance.
Expertise and Experience Required for the Position:
• Review and develop appropriate and relevant organisational Policies and Procedures;
• Develop and update Performance Management competency framework;
• Liaise with Coordinators to conduct Capacity Self-Assessments and Develop Action Plans
• Ensure best practices by conducting benchmarking process using CHS and CIMS;
• Facilitate focus group sessions for input into job descriptions and Key Result Areas
• Recommend and implement organizational structural changes involving position alignment;
• Facilitate Donor engagements and prefunding assessments;
• Develop and update organisational Project Implementation and Monitoring guidelines;
• Conducts regular audits of the organisational structure and recommends changes to make the organization more efficient;
• Provide expertise advice and support on resource Mobilisation strategies proposal development and Programme Quality Management
• Complete a design of the new Organisational Structure and Design
Other skills:
• Computer literacy;
• Working knowledge of policy development and analysis;
• Management experience, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to organize and motivate others;
• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment;
• Excellent drafting and reporting skills;
• Good communication and negotiating skills;
• Good planning and organizational skills.
Language Requirement:
Proficiency in at least two (2) of the Official Languages (English, and Shona)
Knowledge of more than two (2) working languages would be an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and implement Organisational Design principles guided by the CIMS and CHS.
• Proven knowledge and experience the implementation of the organisation design interventions including change management, performance management, talent, design and restructuring processes, etc.
REPORTING
The Consultant reports to the Vicar General with a dot line to the Bishop
DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT
The contract is effective from 1 April 2022 to the 31st of March 2023(12 months renewable)
REMUNERATION
The Consultant will be paid on monthly deliverables basis on the TORs stipulated above
