ZERA is seeking to recruit an Information Technology Auditor to join its vibrant Internal Audit team. The candidate will be responsible for conducting IT audits, evaluating IT controls, identifying risks and vulnerabilities and providing advice to management on IT related issues. The Information Technology auditor will work closely within teams to analyse IT systems and processes and provide actionable recommendations to help improve the overall information technology posture of the Authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing risks to determine and recommend nature, scope and timing of proposed audit engagements.
- Conduct IT audits to assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Evaluate IT systems, applications, and infrastructure for security vulnerabilities, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute audit programs and procedures.
- Gather and analyse data to support audit findings.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management.
- Following up on audit recommendations to ensure timeous implementation.
- Provide ongoing advisory services through participation in projects designed to introduce new and / or changing processes.
- Collaborate with other audit team members and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, ICT trends, and best practices and train other team members on technical matters.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or equivalent ISACA certification.
- ISO Auditor/Lead Auditor certifications in ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 20000, or ISO/IEC 42001
- 3-5 years work experience
- Experience of similar work at an Audit firm is an advantage.
