Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for the collection and disposal of waste
• Collect waste and supervise its transportation
• Sort all waste into the pre-determined categories according to the current legislation and best practice.
• Remove and properly dispose of all hazardous Waste
• Provide Technical Support to management
• Maintain a statistical record for all types of waste collected and disposed and report to the Facilities Manager
• Collect and document feedback from stakeholders and present to the management for decision-making.
• Provide advice on statutory compliance and changes to legal frameworks.
• Ensure handling, transportation, and disposal of all waste complies with the latest statutory instruments.
• Keep management updated on any changes to statutory requirements relating to waste management.
• Promote Knowledge of Waste Management Policies amongst stakeholders.
• Promote the knowledge of relevant waste management policies within MoHCC and all stakeholders.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager as required.
• Provide advice to management on the state of infrastructure.
• Provide periodic reports on the state of the incinerator and advise management on maintenance routines and schedules.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all welding works do not detrimentally affect the environment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Incinerator Operator.

Requirements

• Certificate in Safety, Health, Environment or related field is required
• 5 ‘O’ Levels including English and Mathematics
• Knowledge of Waste Management Legislation and best practice
• A working knowledge of ISO45001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Ability to coordinate and supervise the collection, transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous bio-waste.
• Ability to solicit and analyse feedback from stakeholders regarding waste management
• Experience in fleet management
