COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICER – Green Mineral Zimbabwe

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Community Engagement & Communication
  • Act as GMZ’s primary on-site representative for local communities
  • Explain exploration activities, timelines, and future plans
  • Address community concerns, provide updates, and ensure communities feel informed and respected
  • Communicate how GMZ intends to contribute locally (employment, development support, environmental care)
  • Reinforce responsible land use, waste management, and minimal disturbance during exploration
• 2. Reputation & Public Relations
  • Build a positive company image by showcasing responsible behaviour and transparency
  • Help prevent misunderstandings, rumours, or tensions that could disrupt operations
  • Strengthen relationships with traditional leaders, district officials, and local organizations
• 3. Administration
  • Competent in managing basic administrative functions including but not limited to reconciliation of receipts, daily expenditure and human resources management

Requirements

• Honours/Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Environmental Science and/or Public Relations
• Minimum 5 years industry experience or worked in a similar role
• Good verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Must be in possession of Class 04 drivers license
• Preference will be given to applicants from UMP District
