Responsible for assisting the Logistics Officer to coordinate the company’s supply chain operations, including domestic transport, export logistics, documentation and customs clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in co-ordinating daily shipments from warehouses to export destinations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, phytosanitary certificates).
- Ensure compliance with local and international export regulations.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking cargo movement to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in managing logistics records, inventories, and filing systems.
- Work closely with the procurement, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain activities.
Requirements
- Must have worked in a Tobacco Company as a Logistics Officer for at least 1-2 years.
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and Incoterms.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of tobacco industry practices and export procedures is a must.
- Candidate must be available to start immediately.
