Shepco is seeking a qualified and experienced Stores and Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement of materials and services, manage supplier relationships, and implement stores management policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the procurement of material and services is carried out in a timely manner while ensuring that quality standards and specifications are met.
- Conducting supplier evaluations and ensuring the maintenance of an approved vendor database.
- Identifying new suppliers both locally and internationally.
- Ensuring the effective analysis of stocks on hand and recommend measures to dispose of redundant stocks.
- Analysing market and vendor delivery systems.
- Controlling purchasing budgets and stock movement.
- Development and Implementation of purchasing and stores management policies and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvement and risk mitigation.
- Directing and coordinating the activities of all Purchasing and stores personnel.
Requirements
- Good moral and ethical values and commitment to transparency and accountability.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management and or membership with a professional body such as CIPS (Level 6).
- At least 5 years’ working experience at a Senior Level.
- Strong analytical, negotiating and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
