The role aims to promote social justice, industrial harmony, productivity, and advisory services by assisting the Council in carrying out its mandate in terms of the Labour Act, the NEC Agriculture Constitution, and relevant Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and classify enterprises into subsectors.
- Advise on job grading in line with SI 41 of 2022.
- Maintain farm records and onboard new clients.
- Train employers and employees on NEC dues (SI 96 of 2024) and labour statutes.
- Facilitate Workers’ Committee elections, training, and certification.
- Handle labour disputes and conduct conciliation and arbitration.
- Respond to collective job actions within 12 hours.
- Manage debt collection, statutory returns, and prosecution of defaulters.
- Prepare and submit weekly regional collection reports.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant Social Sciences plus a Postgraduate qualification in HRM.
- Master’s in HRM/Industrial Relations (added advantage).
- Certificate in Dispute Resolution and Arbitration.
- Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence.
- Knowledge of Patterson Job Evaluation (added advantage)
- Minimum 2 years’ HRM experience at supervisory level.
