The Employment Council for the Harare Municipal Undertaking is inviting applications for the position of a Labour Market Information, Research and Innovations Manager, that has arisen within its organization. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive officer and perform the following duties:
(i) Recommend to Chief Executive Officer on development and executing research strategies to gather insights on labor market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes
(ii) Makes research and analyze data for collective bargains datasets to identify key findings and insights, and presenting them to the Chief Executive Officer in a clear and actionable manner for stakeholders
(iii) Market Trend analysis: monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic opportunities and potential threats
(iv) Collaboration Stakeholders Management: Membership recruitment, relations and training of labour issues to workers.
(v) Come up with marketing and outreach projects for NEC membership including updates and maintenance of website.
(vi) Develop and advise on execution of strategies that drive growth, enhancing competitive advantages, and improve operational efficiency to support NEC’s innovation strategies.
(vii) Advisory role to Chief Executive Officer on technical matters
Key qualifications and skills:
Education:
-
A master’s degree in HR Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Admin, Strategic Management, Data Analytics.

A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Economics, Statistics, Demography, Business Studies, or a quantitative/social science discipline is also essential.
Experience:
-
At least 5 years of experience Labour Administration at a supervisory/managerial level, with proven experience in analytics and organizational design.
Skills:
(i) Deep knowledge of local authorities’ labor market dynamics,
(ii) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are also crucial for success in this role
(iii) Proficiency in data analytics/statistical modeling tools
(iv) Good understanding of labor legislation, industrial relations, and compensation frameworks in Zimbabwe
(v) Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and excellent report-writing skills
Leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
