INVESTIGATIONS OFFICER/SENIOR/PRINCIPAL x 2
GRADE: G3B
REPORTS TO: MANAGER INVESTIGATIONS
STATION: HARARE
ORGANISATION: ZIMBABWE INDEPENDENT COMPLAINTS COMMISSION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
To receive complaints reports made to the Commission.
-
To investigate complaints raised against members of the security sectors.
-
To conduct surveillance for the detection of crime and gather intelligence.
-
To attend scene of crime, gather evidence and compile dockets.
-
To take accused persons to court.
-
To follow up on misconduct cases and.
-
To make entries in Departmental registers update records on cases being handled by Investigations Directorate.
-
To attend meetings with stakeholders on matters to.
-
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
a) Bachelor of Science Degree in Police and Security Studies, Financial Intelligence, Law, Accounting, Commerce or equivalent qualifications.
b) Experience in an environment of crime prevention and investigations would be an added advantage.
c) Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
d) Ability to work under pressure.
e) An appreciation of various legal instruments on combating and investigating crime.
f) Interrogation and evidence gathering skills.
g) High level of integrity.
