WORKS DEPARTMENT
(5) ELECTRICIAN – GRADE 8 (2 POSTS)
1. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ JOB SUMMARY
-
Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions in various electrical systems
-
Analyze electrical schematics and blueprints to understand system configurations
-
Install high voltage electrical cables according to safety regulations and engineering standards
-
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty electrical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality
-
Conduct preventative maintenance on high voltage electrical infrastructure
-
Troubleshoot control systems and protective devices
-
Prepare detailed reports on diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and maintenance activities
2. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
-
A Skilled Worker Class 1 in the Trade of in Electrical Engineering
-
A clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence
3. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
-
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar work environment
