Planning Engineer
About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Engineering Department team, reporting to the
Resident Engineer.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Enforces Safety, Health and Environmental standards in line with ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant legal frameworks.
• Prepares departmental capital, labour and operational expenditure budgets for the Engineering department.
• Oversees the planning and scheduling of all preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, condition monitoring and shutdown maintenance.
• Reviews asset performance with regards to targeted equipment availability and reliability and implement necessary corrective action plans.
• Support the development of Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance checklist
• Liase with procurement and stores team to ensure timely availability of parts and tools.
• Conducts root cause analysis (RCA) for all major downtimes and puts actions to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare and issues maintenance plans in collaboration with Engineering and production teams.
About You
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in a mining environment.
• Should be a member of a professional body i.e. ZIE.
• Proficient in maintenance planning tools and software
