TRAINEE MARSHALLER X 4 – Airports Company of Zimbabwe
Reports to: Senior Marshaller
Location: Victoria Falls International Airport
Job Purpose
The position exists to facilitate safe and efficient parking of aircraft, providing apron services and maintaining orderly movement of passengers, ground service equipment and vehicle on the apron.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Parking and dispatching aircrafts to ensure safe parking of aircrafts, safety of ground operators, passengers and equipment.
• Docking and undocking aircrafts to give safe, efficient and excellent, embarking and disembarking facilities to passengers.
• Enforcement of safety regulations to reduce the rate of accidents and/or incidents with greater margin.
• Liaises with ATC for allocation of parking bays of aircrafts to ensure smooth and efficient airside operations.
• Liaises with the ramp cleaners to ensure good housekeeping and safety of the ramp/apron, aerobridges and ensuring safe and healthy environment.
• Bay inspections and foreign objects removal – for accident prevention of F. O. D. to aircraft.
• Making reports for any incident and or/accident occurring on the ramp for action by the Senior Airside Safety Officer.
Qualifications & Skills
• 5 “O” levels including English language, Maths and Science.
• Shall be in the age group of 18 years to 25 years. • Must have a Clean Class 2 Driver`s Licence.
• Added Knowledge of airport function is an added advantage.
