VACANCY
1. SYSTEMS SECURITY SPECIALIST – (HEAD OFFICE x1) (GRADE 12) Reporting to ICT Systems Security Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that NSSA ICT systems are robust, secure and tool proof through implementation of industry best security standards and broad ICT policies thus ensuring organizational information security, authenticity and integrity.
Key Outputs
· Leads in the definition of access privileges, control structures and resources.
· Implement security improvements by assessing current situations, evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
· Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting period audits.
· Monitor and report on the performance of network system and application security solutions to highlight areas of non-compliance and inform the development of improved practices and processes.
· Assist with security breach investigations to guide the refinement of information security policies and practices.
· Manage the periodic maintenance of security systems and applications to ensure new threats are identified and managed and the security of the organisation’s assets are maintained.
· Identifying threats and working on steps to defend against them through performing vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
· Configuring monitoring and supporting security tools (firewalls, antivirus and IDS/IPS software).
· Implementing network security policies.
· Analyzing and establishing security requirements
· Providing technical security advices and training employees in security awareness/procedures.
Qualifying Requirements
· Bachelor of Computer Science or Information Systems
· Information Systems Security Certification
· 2 years’ experience.
