We are looking for ‘SPECIAL STONES’
Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd (ZCDC), a World Class Diamond Producer for the long-term benefit of Zimbabwe seeks applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following positions that have arisen in the business:
● RIGGER ROPEMAN
Reporting to the Engineering Foreman, the job is based at the Mine and is responsible for the following:
Summary of Duties:
• Aligning, levelling and anchoring machinery.
• Controlling movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
• Fabricating, setting up and repairing rigging, supporting structures, hoists and pulling gears.
• Giving signals to workers involved in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and equipment.
• Inspecting lifting gear daily in line with SHEQ policies and standards.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• Five (5) O’ Levels including English, Mathematics and Science.
• National Certificate in Fabrication or Rigging Techniques.
• Class 1 Journeyman Certificate Rigger Ropeman.
• At least 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience working in a Mining, Processing Plant or Heavy Engineering environment.
• Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management systems.
