Mining Manager
About the Role
Our client, with Mining operations in Zimbabwe, is seeking a highly experienced Mining Manager to lead and oversee mining operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable mining activities while driving operational excellence and compliance with all statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for both surface and underground mining operations.
• Oversee daily mine planning, production, and operational performance.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
• Optimize mining processes to achieve production targets and cost efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams to deliver results.
• Manage budgets, resources, and stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline (essential).
• 15 – 20 years’ progressive experience in mining operations.
• Proven track record in both surface and underground mining.
• Gold mining experience is essential.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of mining legislation, safety standards, and best practices.
