HANDS-ON ELECTRICIAN
WANTED- BAKERY MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SPECIALIST
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are a busy, high-volume bakery production facility looking for an immediate hire! We need a skilled, hands-on Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our critical baking equipment. If you are an electrician who isn’t afraid of flour, heat, and complex machinery, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, we want to hear from you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform urgent electrical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial bakery equipment (e.g., reel ovens, deck ovens, spiral mixers, dividers, molders, conveyors, proofers, and automated packaging lines).
Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all electrical systems and machinery.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals for a wide range of equipment.
Install, wire, and commission new bakery equipment as needed.
Work closely with mechanical engineers and bakers to diagnose complex electromechanical faults.
Ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes (NFPA 70) and strict food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
Identify and recommend improvements for electrical systems to enhance reliability and safety.
WHO YOU ARE:
A licensed or certified Electrician (e.g. Journeyman license or equivalent).
Proven, hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in an industrial environment. Experience in a bakery, food production, or FMCG facility is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of 3-phase power, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), PLCs (basic troubleshooting), and temperature control systems.
Familiarity with electrical components in high-temperature and high-humidity environments.
A proactive problem-solver who can work independently under pressure.
Physically able to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in tight spaces.
A strong commitment to safety protocols for yourself and your colleagues.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Specific experience with bakery equipment manufacturers (e.g. Mac-Adams etc.).
Understanding of food-safety electrical practices.
Basic mechanical aptitude to work alongside mechanical teams.
