VACANCY
SUMMARY
The Wages Clerk will assist the Wages Supervisor in the preparation, remittance and reconciliation of the wages monthly payroll of seasonal employees and ensure that they are paid in line with AOI financial operating procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in wages payroll processing, statutory and third-party payments within stipulated timeframes.
- Updating correctly Masterfile data whenever necessary.
- Administer time management system and make sure everything is in line with AOI policy and procedures.
- Loans processing and preparation of monthly bank file for authorization
- Updates earnings and deductions as per as statutory and AOI policy and procedures.
- Verify for completeness and administer all payroll input through HR and HODs
- Account for new and terminated employees in payroll whenever necessary.
- Account for wages provisions and budgets.
- Preparation of all internal and external relevant wages reports timeously
- Assist in prompt audit responses from internal and external reviews whenever necessary.
- Maintain the wages filing and archiving system.
- Printing and distribution of monthly payslips.
- Attend to payroll queries
- Any other duties as may arise.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
O/A Levels including Mathematics or Accounting
Diploma in Accounting or related discipline
Certificate in Payroll Administration or similar
SKILLS AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Payroll processing and systems (4 Years experience)
Team leadership, interpersonal skills and result orientated
Knowledgeable of payroll system a must
Ability to pay special attention to details and good organizational skill
